Can we ride eBikes on any trail in Durango?
eBikes are allowed on paved roads and paths; they are NOT allowed on gravel, dirt roads, and single-track trails.
What is the difference between throttle and pedal assist?
When the throttle is engaged, the motor provides power and propels you and the bike forward. A throttle allows you to pedal or kick back and enjoy a “free” ride! Our throttles can be fine-tuned like a volume dial between low and full power up to 20 miles per hour maximum. Pedal assist is a mode that provides power only when you are pedaling. The pedal assist mode is also nice because you can focus purely on your pedaling, and you don't have to hold the throttle in a specific position.
What is the difference between a KHS, RadCity, and Rad Wagon Tandem?
KHS is our smaller frame 24" bike. RadCity is our 26" wheel bike, best for someone 5"2" or taller. The Red Wagon Tandem is for tall, large adults up to 325 pounds and can be used by one single rider or one adult and one child. Drivers must be 18 years old to carry a passenger.
Do I need prior biking experience to rent an eBike?
No, you do not need prior biking experience to rent an eBike in Durango. The electric assist makes it easy for beginners to enjoy, and you’ll receive a brief tutorial on operating the bike before starting your ride.
How far can I go on a single charge?
The range of an eBike varies based on factors like terrain, rider weight, and the level of electric assist used. On average, most eBikes can travel 25 to 40 miles on a single charge, allowing for a full day of adventure.
